Castor oil for longer lashes?

I’m not sure how I missed this one, but apparently Castor oil is a great way to naturally grow your eyelashes!

I’ve been addicted to Latisse for years, but the reality of it is my lashes are not fabulous – even with the Big L’s help.

So while searching for alternatives (that are hopefully more affordable than the very expensive Latisse), I came across Castor oil as a more natural way to grow hair and lashes. Crazy, right?

Apparently, people have been using Castor oil for hundreds of years to strengthen and grow hair and a quick check on Amazon confirms my research with hundreds of positive reviews from users!

Let’s see, my Latisse costs ~$150 and the Castor oil is ~$15. It’s natural, easy to use and won’t cause irritation to my eyelids like Latisse does. I do need to make sure I don’t get it into my eyes, but I have to do that with Latisse anyway. I don’t know about you readers, but I’m all in!!!

Here are some tips for the best way to apply the oil –

Purchase only 100% pure and cold pressed Castor oil.

Applying too much oil and it can get into the eyes and cause irritation.

Do not use a Q-tip to apply the oil, they become too saturated.

Purchase an eyeliner or mascara-type brush for applying, which makes it really easy.

Apply the oil to clean, dry lashes before bedtime so it has time to absorb. Start at the root and move upward through the lashes.

Remove any excess oil with a Q-tip or blot with tissue.

Gently wash the residual oil off in the morning.

You can expect to see stronger, longer lashes in ~2-4 weeks!

Until next time….
