from Soko Glam and here’s what happened.
First, I found that doing my sheet mask challenge at night was the best for me, however, you can really do it whenever you want. I wanted to keep the product on my skin for as long as possible, even if it meant waking up with my hair stuck to my face!
My first mask was SKINFOOD Lettuce Cucumber Water Essence Mask Sheet. Cold to the skin and not overloaded with product, it smoothed on nicely. I removed it after 20 minutes and massaged the remainder into the face and neck. By morning, my skin appeared plump (well hydrated) and clear of irritation or blackheads. Sweet!
Mask #2 – was KLAIRS Rich Moist Soothing Sheet Mask. I wasn’t instantly wowed by this mask. It wasn’t as cold as the Skinfood, but maybe because it didn’t have as much product on it. I left it on for 20 minutes while I smeared the excess – again, not a lot – on my neck. The next morning my skin felt great! Smooth, plump with my pores looking a bit smaller. I loved how it had ‘flaps’ for the eyes – closing my eyes I was able to get it underneath the lashes. A bit sticky, but I felt it held the mask in place. Okay, I’m now addicted to the masks!
Mask #3 – Too Cool For School Glam Rock Mask – wow – that’s a mouth full! This mask was only for the eye area, which left me feeling a little like Cat Woman, but also a bit under treated – what about the rest of my face?? By morning my eye area was smooth with barely a sign of crows feet – yea!!
Mask #4 – I couldn’t wait to try the MANEFIT Bling Bling Hydro Gel Mask Energizing Rose Mask – just the outer package alone was decadent, I could only imagine what it would do for my face!! It came in 2 parts – an upper and lower. Once I had them both on, I sat for 30 minutes while enjoying the slight smell of roses. The next morning – voila! My skin looked better than ever. Was it because it was night #4 of incredible masks? Who knows, who cares….I love it!
Mask #5 – Banila Co.’s it Radiant Lace Hydrogel Mask Sheet – This lovely looking mask contains one of my favorite ingredients, niacinamide, which treats wrinkles, acne and rosacea. So imagine my disappointment when I woke up with 2 huge breakouts on my face..ugh. What happened??
Well, for my skin, it was probably product overload. That being said, they are wonderful, effective and easy to use. I’m not surprised they have been used for years by Korean women who are considered the guru’s of skincare!
Once a day for 7 days….I’m not so sure of.
These masks are packed with ingredients to plump, smooth and stimulate collagen growth. Using them once or twice a week is the recommendation from this skin care professional, otherwise it might be too much for your skin to deal with.
Until next time….
