I’m going out on a limb here, but I honestly do not think there is anyone I know that isn’t stressed out more than usual these days. Sure, we deal with it as it piles on, but day after day the pile becomes higher – family, work, health, crisis and conflict. We are carrying a heavier load these days and are at a DEFCON 5. (no, seriously we really are)
So when I saw an article about wellness expert Kelsey Patel in Well and Good showing you how to reduce your stress in 30 seconds I was all in!
Kelsey is a reiki master, yoga instructor and meditation teacher who specializes in EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique. On Kelsey’s website you’ll find an array of tools, techniques and resources to ‘help you live a more authentic, peaceful and joy-filled life’.
Reviewing her website, I quickly realized that Ms. Patel doesn’t bullshit and I love that!
I (probably like you) see and hear so much crap day in and day out about (insert topic here) that I’m just worn out. Exhausted, really. So when she had me laughing out loud over ‘Inhale the good shit/Exhale the bullshit’ I knew there was no way I wasn’t going to try her de-stressing technique.
Less then a minute later I felt better than I did before the technique. Was I totally de-stressed? No, but it certainly had enough of a positive effect that I’ll be trying it out again!
So give it a try. What do you have to lose but 30 seconds and some stress?
