I’m not quite sure how I missed this, but Amazon has a ‘Movers and Shakers‘ page that keeps track of the ‘biggest gainers in sales rank compared to twenty-four hours ago’ and is updated every hour. As a beauty blogger I’m always looking for information on what others are using to keep their skin looking good and this list is a gold mine!
As I write this article, the highest ranking product is called Suction Black Mask. It’s a peel-off blackhead removing face mask sold by an unknown company called Toulifly, who also sells charcoal toothpaste and Hookah pipes,
Next on the list is VoilaVe Organic Argan oil for skin and hair. With 2,234 reviews, mostly 5 stars, and costing around $13 this product is an obvious crowd pleaser.
Skipping over tweezers and nail clippers, the 6th M&S is LilyAna Naturals Rosehip and Hibiscus Eye Cream. Over 75% of the 2,148 reviewers love this product enough to also give it 5 stars and I’ve never even heard of it!
Moving down the list there’s Sky Organics Lip Balm, Think Baby Safe Sunscreen, Baebody Eye Gel and Baebody Retinol Moisturizer each with thousands of positive reviews and all under $25!
While not everything was an unknown (Olay CC Cream came in 14th) I think it’s safe to say that you won’t find any of the top ten products in a big box store anytime soon.
So are these products legit or are the reviews created just to get on the Movers and Shakers list?
Having done business with Amazon, I know first hand that they have some pretty strict guidelines – if you mess up, you’re gone. So there has to be some validity to the claims. I would just say to be sensible when making a purchase and remember, you can’t get face lift results from a jar.
Have a fabulous 4th of July everyone! Until next time….
